How exactly do I go about getting an avatar? I can't find the field for uploading a picture. I hate to be a bother, but I'm rather confused...

I had to edit my picture in paint to make it the right size, so save the picture you want to your desktop, edit it to the size you want (no more than 64kb) in paint (or if you're really posh photoshop 
) and then:
PROFILE -> AVATAR -> UPLOAD FROM COMPUTER -> SELECT EDITED PHOTO -> UPLOAD
) and then:PROFILE -> AVATAR -> UPLOAD FROM COMPUTER -> SELECT EDITED PHOTO -> UPLOAD
