Game very similar to Urban Dead but much better
Hi everyone,
I'm a stranger to these forums but not to Urban Dead. I've been playing UD on and off for almost 2 years now (I play with 3 accounts, all in different suburbs of course). I've found this game to be entertaining at times and then boring at other moments. It always seemed like there was no hard-core game play and no matter how many zombies or humans you killed (revived/infected) it would not affect the game at all. There was no clear winner on either side, and things became repetitve after a while...
While scrolling through the UD wiki a few days ago I was searching similar games to UD area and came across one that was exactly like UD but 10x better! It has more features, more cooperation, and the game is played in rounds that last a few weeks and at the end - ONE SIDE WINS! Survivors either win by researching a cure or zeds win by destroying/killing everyone. The game is free of course, and most of the interface is identical to Urban Dead. If you would like to check out the game and see for yourself the link is:

Also many of the players are former Urban Dead players that found a better liking to this game as well. In the game's offical forum, one of the posts was the major difference between the two games so if you would like to view the various responses on the forum to compare.

And you may ask why am I posting this on your forum? Because I'm trying to get the word out to UD's game base because I think many players will find this game to be more fulfilling.
Very respectfully,
EDH
P.S. If you do make an account on Quarantine my player name is Evildiehard, so if you ever see me give me a shout!

No. No. No.
I have played many, if not most, games that are based on UD or similar. None have held my interest for longer than a few weeks. Urban Dead not "hardcore" enough for you? Well maybe you should try actually fighting zombies rather than hanging around safe zones. No one I know who actively works against the zombies in contested territory could ever say the game's not "hardcore" enough.
Frankly, I'm insulted that you would come on our forum and tell us this game of which you speak is "better" than Urban Dead. "I like this game better" maybe, "You should try this" maybe, "this game is also fun" maybe. "Urban Dead except much better," go away, please.
As for that forum discussing "the major differences between the two games," that's just a string of people bashing Urban Dead. That's stupid. Why would you post that.
I'm not even going to address your view of 'winning'. If I wanted to win, completely and utterly, then I would not be playing Urban Dead. I think the ebb and flow of the entire game is vastly more interesting than a simple victory.

Re: Game very similar to Urban Dead but much better
I have tried dozens of MMORPG's as well, to find one that was worthy of my time and devotion. As I said before UD has been something I have invested in for the past two years... Its top notch compared to most of the horrible online games that are out there on the web.
One of the feats I have accomplished since I have been playing UD was to create a survivor the day Monroeville opened and have him SURVIVE to be the last standing human on the entire map at one point. I played non-stop every day checking multiple times online to see if my safe-house had been broken into and on many occasions I escaped death narrowly. In case you didn't know about five months into Monroeville the entire map was ruined with zombies everywhere so if that is not considered "Hardcore" then I don't know what is.

Last time I checked forums were used for discussing things. The one major difference between UD & "Quaratine 2019" is that in UD players pick one side (survivor or zombie) and they don't stray from that side. (I've been in multiple groups both zombie and survivor) When a survivor gets killed he runs over to a RP, when a zed gets revived he goes PK'ing or Parachutes into a safe-house or just goes back out in the street to be eaten. To put it bluntly, if a player gets converted to a different side they won't play it the way it was intended. Granted there are some people who play Dual-Nature but they are a very small miniority of the players in UD. Out of my two years of playing this game I have seldomly seen a time where a zed broke into a safe-house and killed a survivor and then 30 mins later see that same survivor get up as a zed and start killing humans. It never happens.
As for "Quaratine 2019" people emphasize playing both sides when you get converted. The games mechanics function so that you have an incentive to change sides. Just yesterday in Quaratine I went into a building with 3 survivors and infected & killed a one. Then ten minutes later he got up as a zombie and killed one of his buddies. Now to me, this is how a traditional zombie apocalypse game should be played. That's why I think this game is superior than UD.

It's fine that you feel that way. Seriously. However, as Daz pointed out, you are addressing people who play UrbanDead and... believe it or not... LIKE it!
To each his own, I say. I'll stick to UD! Thanks, anyway!
