How do I get started?
Hi, i've just joined the game and have been reading the wiki.
Subsequently, I would like to join the group.
How do I join and what do I do in the game? I've spent the last few days leaping from building to building and searching for stuff.
Thanks, Matt

Hey, there!
Ordinarily I would tell you to post here: https://10mfh.forumotion.net/urban-dead-discussion-f1/want-to-be-a-member-of-10-minutes-from-hell-t5.htm if you wish to join, but that's alright. You're here now!
Could you post a link to your UD profile, please?
Thanks!

Re: How do I get started?
Hi MattRUK, glad to have a new member in 10mfh. We seem to be gathering quite a following lately!
It's gonna be tough for you to get xp at first, but at least with free-running you have a better chance of staying alive.
Probably your best bet right now it to use first aid to get xp - this won't be easy as without the 'diagnosis' skill you won't be able to see who needs healing, so you'll be relying on trial and error or people shouting out for help.
If you try and use a first aid kit on someone who has full health you won't lose it though, so it is worth grabbing as many kits as you can carry and moving around trying to heal everyone you spot for that 5xp bonus.
Once you manage to get enough xp together the 'diagnosis' skill will let you spot who needs healing and greatly improves xp farming through first aid, but as you are a military character this will costs you 125xp.
However, for 75xp you could buy the 'hand-to-hand combat' skill, grab yourself a fire axe from a nearby station and start whaling on the undead for your xp. Attacking zombies on the streets doesn't really help the survivor cause that much, as they just stand back up again with little effort and full HP, but it's one of the quickest ways you can gather xp and is my favored approach when developing a new character. The sooner you get xp to get the skills, the sooner you can start making the difference.
This game is slow going at first and can be tough to get into, but the more skills you buy the easier it is to get xp for the next one and after a slow start you'll find yourself moving through the levels pretty quickly. The more skills you get, the more you can do and the more fun the game becomes.
Hope that helps, but me and the rest of the team are around if you have any questions or need some support.

The potential members area of the forum is only viewable by other potential members and team members. That is where you would post anything that you don't want to be public.
